Fellow DNN'ers, good news, DotNetNuke 6 beta release is now available for download

This new version has a slew of great new features and enhancements. I've been using DNN since v1, and we're looking at a major UI overhaul. From the rich user interface to the streamlining of the admin UIs, it's very clean.

My favorite feature is the page management page, no longer are we looking at some old web multi-select box, now we have a very rich interface that displays security of the pages, easily move and manage the page settings, all from the same interface. A much needed improvement to DNN.

The control panel is a big improvement in that I only see what I want to manage. Hover over modules, I get a module box showing me what I can do with modules, same goes for page management. All using a nice menu.

Poking around the site, I'm greeted with a new design to all the admin/host pages, I can easily get to what I want, and I don't get overwhelmed by all the options.

Going to the Extensions page under the host menu, I'm greeted by a new option called the App Gallery. Very much like my iPhone app gallery, right now it's not loading some items on my end, but it looks very promising and making DNN more of a one-stop shop to find extensions for my site.

And if you want to know what's in DNN Professional, they now list the Pro options under the host menu so you can see what's available.

There is much more available, I have some exploring to do today.
